The Art of Retelling a Story

For more than ten years, BURN-IN has been supporting Swiss artist Isabelle Habegger. With habegger.art, a new chapter now begins: a strategic repositioning between the journey into the world and the journey inward—told through art, curatorial storytelling, and a digital presentation that becomes part of the story itself.
Some projects don’t begin with a briefing, but with a story.
Our collaboration with Isabelle Habegger has grown over more than ten years. We have accompanied her artistic development, realized exhibitions and projects together, and repeatedly witnessed how initial ideas give rise to new works, spaces, and surprising perspectives.
habegger.art is another step on this shared journey.
The starting point was the question of how Isabelle Habegger’s multifaceted body of work could be repositioned and presented in a way that gives rise to a distinctive artistic world.
An important foundation for this was the Voyage de Isa. What originally began as a journey into the world—shaped by places, encounters, cultures, and experiences—now takes on a new dimension: the journey inward.
Both journeys converge on the new website. One tells of discovering the world; the other, of discovering one’s inner self. In between lie Isabelle Habegger’s art, her personal development, and the experiences from which new works emerge.
Thus, her biography, her body of work, and the present merge into a cohesive narrative. Narrative storytelling and visual language combine to take visitors on the
Art That Moves
The visual language was also reimagined. Large-format artworks were elaborately edited and, in some cases, transformed into animations. Shapes begin to move, colors shift, and details emerge and then disappear again.
The media section was also completely reimagined. Existing footage was re-edited, dramaturgically condensed, and set to music. This creates additional ways to engage with Isabelle Habegger’s work, her personality, and her artistic process.
The website thus becomes a stage in its own right: It doesn’t just display art—it brings it to life.
Images, film, animation, sound, and storytelling intertwine to create a digital space where Isabelle Habegger’s world can be experienced on multiple levels.
From an Idea to Your Own Art Project
A special section is dedicated to commissioned art. Under “My Art Project”, you can see how a personal idea, a space, or a business challenge can evolve into a unique artistic project through dialogue with Isabelle Habegger.
The result can take many forms: a custom-developed artwork, a site-specific work, art in architecture, an installation, or a performance.
What matters is not the format, but the collaborative process. From the initial meeting, through the exploration of the location, theme, and people involved, to the artistic realization, something unique emerges—for private, corporate, or public contexts alike.
Commissioned art thus becomes not merely the ordering of a work of art, but a process of collaborative development.
A New Digital Stage
To support this new positioning, the digital presence was also completely redesigned from the ground up. A calm, modern design featuring large-scale imagery, an animated text banner, and a new menu structure deliberately gives the art room to breathe. A flexible page layout enables Isabelle Habegger to independently continue sharing new projects, travels, and bodies of work in the future.
The website is bilingual in German and English and technically built on Drupal 11. An integrated DeepL translation engine supports new content, while optimizations for SEO and GEO, fast image delivery, intelligent search, and privacy-friendly analytics ensure a state-of-the-art technical foundation.
In this way, habegger.art combines strategy, art, communication, and technology into a comprehensive digital presence that does more than simply document what has already been created.
It tells a story that continues.
