The Gerngross department store, long a stage for the dialog between consumption and culture, is beginning a comprehensive transformation. BURN-IN has accompanied this transition as a temporary art laboratory in the urban space.

Now it's time to move on.
From May 2025, our exhibitions at Gerngross will take a break.
Not as an end, but as a continuation with other means.

Because art that deals with cycles, resources and transformation never stands still. It seeks new formats - in Japan, in digital space, in global dialog. GreenART is more than a concept: it is an attitude.

We would like to thank the traditional department store Gerngross for this special time. And stay in touch. Perhaps a new chapter will begin elsewhere - for art and space, for meaning and change.
