Gallery 2026

About the gallery | Impulsraum

From seeing to experiencing

BURN-IN sees the gallery as a place of condensed perception. Here we encounter art as an aesthetic experience, as an intellectual movement and as a presence that reaches beyond the moment.

We show contemporary positions with independence, depth and resonance. This creates an impulse space in which art not only becomes visible, but also has a lasting effect - in the way we look, think and perceive the present, change and new perspectives on the future.

What guides us

Our mission

Thinking art differently. Present differently.

Since BURN-IN was founded, we have been committed not only to showing art, but also to introducing it into new contexts, formats and experiential spaces. Today, we combine this approach with questions of transformation, responsibility, resonance and contemporary visibility.

Aesthetic quality
We show contemporary art with presence, depth and artistic independence - works that go beyond the first impression.
Art with resonance
We are interested in positions that touch, irritate, inspire and open up new spaces for thought, perception and resonance.
Making transformation visible
We see art as a catalyst for development, change and new perspectives on the present and future.
Thinking about responsibility
With GreenART, we focus on artistic positions that negotiate responsibility, sustainability and cultural change in an independent way.
Thinking art differently. Present differently.
We combine the classic exhibition experience with new formats, mobile spaces and digital approaches that make art visible in a contemporary way.
Relationship and development
We focus on curatorial clarity, personal encounters and long-term development - with artists, collectors and people who are rediscovering art for themselves.

How BURN-IN has evolved between white cube, new contexts and digital extensions

Sommer Exhibition 2025

2014 - 2020

Argentinierstraße 53, 1040 Vienna

The Argentinierstraße marked the first permanent gallery space of BURN-IN in Vienna. Here, the White Cube became the starting point for a development in which contemporary art was presented with clarity, precision and curatorial standards.

  • 120 m² of exhibition space
  • White Cube aesthetics in a classicist-secessionist building ensemble
  • Focus on emerging artists

Im Reich der Weisschatten

2020 - 2025

Gerngross department store, Mariahilfer Straße 42-48, 1070 Vienna

With the location in Gerngross, BURN-IN opened up a new context for contemporary art. On Mariahilfer Straße, a space was created in which art consciously left the classic white cube and entered an urban, public resonance space.

The location stood for new approaches, for the democratization of art and for an expanded visibility of contemporary positions - where the rhythm of the city, high frequency and everyday encounters made new points of contact with art possible.

  • Central location on Mariahilfer Straße
  • Contemporary art in an urban, public context
  • New visibility beyond the classic white cube

Special Location

Schönbrunn Palace | Zuckerbäckerstöckl

With the Zuckerbäckerstöckl, a historic building in the Schönbrunn Palace ensemble, BURN-IN opens up a special setting for seminars, workshops, meetings and cultural development formats. Not a classic gallery space, but a place where corporate culture, transformation and new perspectives take shape in an extraordinary historical context.

  • Space for seminars, workshops and meetings
  • Corporate culture and transformation in a special setting
  • GreenART and art branding in a historical context

Since 2021

Mobile & Digital

BURN-IN not only rethinks the gallery in physical space, but also in the digital realm. This creates new approaches to art that enable orientation, encounters and networking beyond the location.

With formats such as Alberta's Art Feature, artist pages, exhibition stories and invitation calls, the gallery is expanding to include an additional level of communication. This is not about mere presence, but about a curated narrative that combines information, atmosphere and reach.

  • Curated mediation in the digital space
  • Exhibition stories and visual documentations
  • Artist portraits with work, biography and context
  • Alberta's Art Feature
